In 1874, a small group of farmers met ...after several preliminary meetings, decided to organize The Farmers Mutual Insurance Association of Washington County for the purpose of insuring farm property at reasonable rates. In 1961 - We began insuring town property. Now, 134 years later, we are still fulfilling the purpose for which the association was founded...to provide maximum insurance protection at reasonable rates.
